Hitomitoi Live in Manila

HITOMITOI is coming to Manila this August.

In an announcement by Terno Recordings on Tuesday (06/25), the Japanese singer will be performing at 19 East in Sucat on August 3 (Saturday) with collaborators Kashif and Dorian. They will also be joined by UDD.aka Up Dharma Down!

Hitomitoi
Starting her solo career in 2002, singer-songwriter Hitomitoi, as characterized “一十三十一 “ in Japanese, has been known for her charming and delicate voice. The album "City Dive” (Billboard Records) she put out in 2012 has gained a high reputation both from critics and audience. It has brought a zephyr of freshness to Japanese city pop music, which gradually grew into a new movement in that genre. Built upon success in her album, she continued to produce several albums joined by up-and-coming producers in a short period time. "Surfbank Social Club" and "Snowbank Social Club" released in 2013 and 2014 are inspired by the Japanese movie series, which represent Japan’s bubble economy and became phenomenal in late '80s. In addition to these, "Pacific High / Aleutian Low"(2014) and "The Memory Hotel"(2015) followed. By releasing these works, she came to be recognized as notable artist who has lead Japanese music scene in the 2010s. In recent years, she has done numerous collaborations with younger artists, producers, and DJs, who were influenced by the movement regardless of their nationality. Through these collaborations, she made contributions to not only performances but also lyrics and productions. Her latest album "Ecstasy" was chosen as the best album of year in 2017 by the media.

Kashif
He is a Japanese guitarist, composer, arranger, producer and vocalist of PanPacificPlaya (PPP), a music crew based in Yokohama Bay Area, Japan. Also a member of JINTANA&EMERALDS known as neo doo-wop band of PPP.
Appreciated as a support member of several prominent band and artists mostly of 2000s generations and after. His unique solo performance style called “Guitar DJ”, a solo DJ session accompanied by his guitar performance is well received among wide range of music lovers. Loves Japanese tea, sweets and wandering around his neighborhood.

Dorian
Dorian started his live performance and DJ career in Tokyo back in 2005.
With a single all-in-one groove machine he creates House, Techno, Disco based music mixing in 80's Japanese City Pop elements which was not accepted cool before his sound approach and performance, perhaps recieved a good reaction from clubbers and DJs. His approach helped revaluate, rediscover and lead the Japanese City Pop revival. And his first album "Melodies Memories"(2010) and second album "studio vacation"(2011) gained many follwers in Japan.
His third album "midori" is a masterpiece recreating authentic Japanese exotic sounds, ambient music, sound collage and electronic music in a modern pop way, which was highly acclaimed by music lovers and veteran musicians. This also happened to lead the Japanese ambient and electronic music revival.
Now busy producing and composing for Hitomitoi and supporting Towa Tei and many other artist's productions. In 2018 he produced music for "INDUSTRIAL JP" a short film and website that won grand prize at ADC Awards Japan, a respected award in commercial and art direction.
